Greenwood Baptist Church Opens 24/7 Community Food Pantry

Get ready to give back to the community in a big and unique way that will impact the lives of several throughout the community whenever they need it, no matter the time of day!

Greenwood baptist church has unveiled the addition to a food pantry to their administrative office. The food pantry is said to be open 24/7 to allow for access of food items for anyone who is in need. Donations are encouraged to keep the pantry stocked but the church is also dedicated to ensuring the pantry is stocked for all who need any items. There is going to be shelves labeled into different categories for easy sorting of all the items brought in. This will also allow for easy navigating for any ages that may need help with getting items. During the weekday between the hours of 8am-5pm, there will be available help for the older residents who may not be able to carry bags to their vehicles.

The church has sent out a flyer requesting a few items to include in the donations for the food pantry:

  • Canned food
  • Dry pantry items
  • Diapers and Wipes (all sizes)
  • Dry Baby Formula
  • Feminine products
  • Personal hygiene products for men & women
  • Children’s snacks

The pantry is expected to fully open on Sunday morning. If you would also like to give any sort of clothing, we will gladly accept them however just please be sure they are clean as most of the people in the community may not have access to washing machines. We will accept all sizes and any item such as shoes, socks, hats.
