A landscaper turned influencer on youtube who works to trim the lawns of neighbors in need and to help enhance the neighborhood curb appeal has raised more than $90,000 for an elderly woman.

Central Mississippi based lawn care company has garnered hundreds of thousands of likes on platforms including Facebook and YouTube. Run by creator and owner of the company Justin Franklin shows off of how the company assist in trimming grass in overgrown yards, cleaning up flowerbeds, and spends time helping local community members with any outdoor needs. Many of their videos show Justin approaching his community members, often elderly or disabled, who have struggled to take care of their yards or properties due to their state and offering them some maintenance, free of charge of course.

On Monday, Jan. 13, Justin shared on the company’s Youtube page a video that would become one of his most-viewed and most-shared video of all time! During the video, you can see and hear Justin speaking with a woman named Brooklyn who said she had tried for over 3 month to get someone to come out and help her trim her overgrown lawn, with absolutely no help or assistance. After tidying up and trimming the grass on her property, Justin started to think that the yard work he performed wasn’t enough to make a true difference in Ms. Brooklyn’s life. Many users who watched and shared the video commented on how Brooklyn seemed to have be struggling with her mobility, as she has to use a walker to make her way up a very steep staircase to reach her front door. So in a very lengthy post he made to their company Facebook page, Justin expressed that he had launched a fundraiser link to raise funds to build a ramp up her front porch to her front door along with a newly paved driveway for Brooklyn to prevent her from falling due to cracks in the concrete. He would like the leftover funds from the fundraiser be used to fix several broken windows that brings in lots of moisture into her home, have a nice amount set aside to use for lawn care maintenance for severals years to avoid the city getting involved with her curb appeal, and purchase a new bed that is easier for her to get up from.

Brooklyn didn’t imagine she would receive this much love from her community. She is also incredibly grateful to Justin and his entire crew for offering their generous donation of not only their time in assisting with her lawn but also their time in listening and noticing her needs and setting up this fundraiser to change her life.
