Two individuals have been arrested outside of the Franklin Mall near the huge department store for attempting to shoplift designer handbags to resell online. The police department received a phone call around 11:30am asking for help in apprehending Christy Evans, 34, and Nicole Jones, 32.
Multiple Prada and Dior handbags were retrieved from the trunk of the vehicle being driven by the two women. The two taken into custody have both denied any involvement claiming they had other accomplices that got away in another vehicle after dumping the handbags in their vehicle. Investigators are looking into security footage along with questioning whitenesses to ensure all parties are held accountable. As of right now, there has been no other arrest made.
